An Extremely Busy Weekend

"You have to want it, you have to plan for it, you have to fit it into a busy day, you have to be mentally tough, you have to use others to help you. The hard part isn't getting your body in shape. The hard part is getting your mind in shape." ~ Amby Burfoot
"Who are the happiest people on earth? A craftsman or artist whistling over a job well done. A little child building sand castles. A mother, after a busy day, bathing her baby. A doctor who has finished a difficult and dangerous operation, and saved a human life. Happiness lies in a constructive job well done. Get your happiness out of your work or you will never know what happiness is." ~ Elbert Hubbard
This past week, especially Thursday through Sunday, was jam-packed with activities from morning to late night!
Thursday started with back-to-back meetings, errands, and a quick dinner before Parker and I hit the gym for a long night of strength training and basketball drills until 11:30 pm.
Friday was just as busy, with morning graduation ceremonies at ECC, a quick dog walk, and then back to ECC for the graduation prom that lasted until almost midnight.
Saturday and Sunday followed a similar pattern.
Mornings started with an Airdyne workout, errands, dog walking, and breakfast with the family. The afternoons were dedicated to marking papers and assessments, followed by some intense sprinting and speed training on the track with spikes and more basketball training at the gym. Both days wrapped up around 11 pm.
I am truly impressed by my 16-year-old son, Parker's dedication and determination. He's clearly putting in the hard work to transform his game for his senior year of high school basketball. His relentless drive, modesty, calmness, and focus on his goals are truly inspiring.
