"I was thinking that we all learn by experience, but some of us have to go to summer school." ~ Peter De Vries
"The first dream I had was just to get a college education. I got through college in three years, taking extra classes in summer school." ~ Eli Broad
"Mom put a note in my lunch again, I see... Dear son, I hope you will study hard in summer school... Do not look upon it as a punishment, but rather as a privilege... We are very proud of you, and want you to have a good education. This note will self-destruct in five seconds." ~ Charles M. Schulz
Canadian summer schools are fantastic for new Canadians, students who need to upgrade, or students who want to get ahead in their academics to reach their goals.
Classes are usually smaller, so teachers can give you more attention. Plus, summer programs are shorter than regular school; instead of learning a course in 125 hours, the course is approximately 90 hours. The summer school routine can also help you build good study habits and time management. You might make new friends interested in the same coursework as you! How well you do in summer school depends on how motivated you are, how you like to learn, and the fast-paced program.
