There is always an element of realpolitik that has to be present in the conduct of any nation's national security affairs. At the same time, we have to also have a balance between realpolitik and Wilsonian principles of freedom and democracy and human rights. And maintaining that balance is the greatest challenge that we in the West, including the Federal Republic of Germany, have to face because it's many times a very difficult decision-making process. ~ John McCain
As discussed in previous posts, the worship of force disregards universal ethics and morality, prioritizing utilitarian moral reasoning justified by power.
Societies inclined toward such a war-hawkish doctrine are prone to perpetual conflict, as force inevitably invites retaliation and escalation.
In these societies, values such as justice, freedom, and equality are often denied, leading to authoritarianism, oppression, and the suppression of opinions and opposition.
Failed states, dependent on force, struggle to maintain sustainable governance. Fear and coercion cannot inspire long-term loyalty or cooperation.
The worship of force breeds insurgencies, resistance movements, and international condemnation, ultimately undermining its own objectives.
The worship of force devalues human life and dignity, reducing individuals to mere tools of power to be subjugated.
