Battle for Intellectual Sovereignty

Allow me to draw your attention to the value and beauty of marriage. The complementarity of man and woman, the vertex of the divine creation, is being questioned by gender ideology, in the name of a freer and more just society. The difference between man and woman is not meant to stand in opposition, or to subordinate, but is for the sake of communion and generation, always 'in the image and likeness of God.' Pope Francis

There is too much ideological conformity in gender studies. The true-believers fashion the theories, write the textbooks and teach the students. When journalists, policymakers, and legislators address topics such as the wage gap, gender and education, or women's health, they turn to these experts for enlightenment. For the most part, they peddle misinformation, victim politics, and sophistry. They claim that their teachings represent the academic consensus, but that is only because they have excluded all dissenters.

...These politically correct language initiatives are misguided and harmful. They create highly entitled professional "victims" who expect to be free from any offense, and they engender a stifling atmosphere where all individuals walk on eggshells lest they might commit a linguistic capital crime. In a sense, New Age gurus are akin to postmodernists within academia. They dispense meaningless drivel that masquerades as profound truths whilst in reality it is a mere exercise in obscurantism

Two forces clash: the liberating spirit of reason and the suffocating grip of ideological conformity.

On one side, freedom of open debate, of intellectual exploration. On the other, a sinister tide of political correctness, identity politics, and thought policing threatens to drown out all dissent. This is no mere academic squabble; it is a struggle for control over your very perception of reality.

Emotion, not logic, now dictates the terms of engagement.

Societal ideologies function as insidious viruses, infecting your mind, stifling curiosity, and enforcing conformity. They create a dangerous landscape where only a narrow spectrum of viewpoints are tolerated, where the free exchange of ideas is deemed a threat.

Postmodernism, with its nihilistic rejection of objective truth, accelerates this decline. It proclaims that anyone can achieve greatness with sufficient conditioning, conveniently ignoring the undeniable role of innate talent and the harsh realities of the power struggle.

Reason is further eroded as subjective narratives of victimhood and grievance replace cold, hard facts. A culture emerges where the perpetual sense of injustice becomes a weapon, a tool for maintaining power and control.

Academia, once a sanctuary of intellectual pursuit, has become a breeding ground for these insidious ideologies. Universities, instead of fostering a fearless pursuit of truth, now pander to prevailing dogmas.

The Grievance Studies Project serves as a stark reminder of this decay, demonstrating how fraudulent research, as long as it aligns with fashionable ideologies, can gain widespread acceptance. Postmodernist scholars, blind to the complexities of history and culture, reduce centuries of nuanced reality into simplistic, one-dimensional narratives.

The "blank slate" theory is a good example of this assault on reason. It posits that human behavior is entirely shaped by environment, conveniently ignoring the undeniable influence of biology and innate predispositions. This reductive view strips individuals of their agency, reducing them to mere pawns in the grand game of societal conditioning.

You must navigate a landscape dominated by powerful gatekeepers, such as social media giants, who control the flow of information, amplifying certain voices while silencing others. Right-leaning perspectives are frequently suppressed, targeted for demonetization, and buried beneath calculated and manipulated bias.

Dissent, no matter how well-supported by evidence, is swiftly labeled "hate speech," effectively silencing crucial debates and stifling the free marketplace of ideas.

Universities, once bastions of vigorous debate and intellectual sparring, now prioritize protecting feelings over the pursuit of knowledge, ultimately hindering true intellectual growth.
