American and Canadian Fight on the Ice

"The reality of Canadian history is that we've been willing to do the important things the world demanded of us: fighting in World War II, in Korea, in the Balkans, where we were involved in offensive military operations, and in Afghanistan, where we have made disproportionate contributions." ~ Chris Alexander

Canadian-American relations for many years did not develop spontaneously. The example of accord provided by our two countries did not come about merely through the happy circumstance of geography. It is compounded of one part proximity and nine parts good will and common sense. ~ Harry S. Truman

Americans and Canadians need to take a step back, relax, and remember that weโ€™re not just neighbours, weโ€™re family!!!!

I spent part of my childhood in the U.S. with my incredible American relatives, and thereโ€™s no doubt in my mind that I love America and my American siblings, I also love Canada. Our connection runs extremely deep, forged through history, shared struggles, and unwavering devotion. My parents were both American and Canadian, and for over a century, my family has served in the elite military of both nations.

Canadians have never seen our American family as enemies, never!!!

We have always been close. Millions of Canadians have family in the U.S., and many of us have stood by our American cousins, brothers, and sisters in times of need. We have fought together, built together, and looked after one another.

Our histories may differ, but our loyalty remains the same. Coming from a family with a long military tradition, I can say with certainty that neither Canadians nor our Commonwealth cousins would ever turn our backs on America. As the world grows more divided, we must remember that our greatest strength has always been our unity. No president or prime minister can pry us away from one another. No politician can put us against eachother. We are family.
