From Gaza to Tehran: Mapping a Trail of Militarized Ethnic Cleansing, Funded and Supported by USA and Using Israel as the Proxy

āIsrael's campaign in Gaza cannot be justified as self-defense. It has become a war of collective punishment, targeting an entire civilian population in ways that fulfill the legal definition of genocide.ā ~ Nathan Thrall
āThere are reasonable grounds to believe that the threshold indicating the commission of the crime of genocide against Palestinians as a group in Gaza has been met.ā ~ Francesca Albanese
āThe massacre in Gaza is not a reaction to a threat, it is a premeditated act of ethnic cleansing. It is genocidal not just in scale but in its intentāto eliminate a peopleās right to exist.ā ~ Norman Finkelstein
āWhat we are witnessing in Gaza is an unfolding genocidal process⦠the systematic destruction of the foundations of life for an entire population, with the blessing and material support of the United States.ā ~ Richard Falk
In an increasingly unstable world, the U.S. government continues to play a central role in human rights violations across the Middle East. Through hundreds of billions in military aid and unwavering political support, the U.S. has become the primary backer of the Israeli government, even as that government faces mounting international condemnation for crimes against humanity, especially against the Palestinian people.
The devastation in Gaza is not an accident of war, it is the product of policy. According to the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry, Israelās military operations since October 7, 2023, have included deliberate attacks on civilians, schools, and hospitals. Over 90% of Gazaās educational institutions lie in ruins. Families are killed in places marked as āsafe.ā Medical centers like Al Shifa Hospital have been systematically destroyed. Children are starving. Pregnant women face malnutrition. Survivors speak of sexual violence, mass displacement, and entire communities wiped out.
What we are witnessing is not just war, but an American government supported with hundreds of billions of dollars worth of military armaments to the Israeli military campaign of extermination. These are not ambiguous events. The UN Commission has called them what they are: war crimes and crimes against humanity, deliberate acts of persecution, targeting civilians, and the destruction of a peopleās future. It is clear and documented, the Israeli government and its military are committing, ethnic cleansing and genocide.
And yet, American support continues.
According to Al Jazeera and corroborated by humanitarian watchdogs, the Israeli military has dropped more than 70,000 pounds (over 30,000 kilograms) of explosives on the Gaza Strip, comparable to multiple smaller strategic nuclear bombs!
Men, elderly, women and children, not able to flee, traumatized by this level of bombardment translates into collective punishmentāethnic cleansing and genocide.
The United Nations and independent observers have reported that over 95% Gaza, half of the size of the city of Tehran, Iran, there is no remaining infrastructure: homes, hospitals, schools, water plants, and refugee shelters have been reduced to rubble, leaving people, humansāPalestinians buried under concrete and twisted iron rebar.
More than 500,000 people have been killed, the majority of them women and children, and tens of thousands more have been injured or left permanently disabled. Billions of dollars of weapons used include 1,000-pound "bunker-buster" bombs, precision-guided missiles and AI killer drones, and high-explosive artillery shells, supplied by the United States.
In a single 24-hour period, Israel dropped over 6,000 bombs, more than the U.S. military used per day during its military operations in Iraq. The Gaza Strip, home to over 2 million people, has been described as the most densely bombed place on Earth in the 21st century.
Up to this point, in the past 3 years, the Palestinian people of Gaza have experienced an equivalent of two nuclear bombs inflected upon them, supplied by American government and its military industrial complex, transferred to the Israeli military.
This is a deliberate policy of overwhelming, indiscriminate violence. Human rights organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have documented repeated violations of international law, including crimes against humanity and war crimes.
Worse still, eyes are turning to Iran, where similar atrocities may unfold in the years ahead under the same framework of U.S. and Israeli imperialistic ambitious militarism.
