Why American Empire – Hegemony Decline Might Be Locked In

“The collapse of empire is not a tragedy. It is an opportunity.” ~ Chris Hedges

“Every war when it comes, or before it comes, is represented not as a war but as an act of self-defense against a homicidal maniac.” ~ George Orwell

“The American oligarchy has perfected the art of inverted totalitarianism: rule by corporations, cloaked in democratic rituals.” ~ Sheldon S. Wolin

You're living in a nation where decline isn't a fluke, it's at the very least, allowed to continue because the right people profit from the chaos. You watch as the military-industrial complex, Wall Street elites, tech billionaire oligarchs, and career politicians reap billions from endless wars and global instability. Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria, Gaza, possibly Iran, none of these conflicts brought you peace or prosperity. But they enriched defense contractors, padded political careers, and handed windfalls to the oligarchs and insiders, even as the nation sank deeper into debt, infrastructure collapsed, and your future was sold off piece by piece.

When you search for change, you find only illusions. Both political parties, red and blue, serve the same masters, fiercely guarding the status quo. No one dares to halt the Federal Reserve's endless money printing, rein in the monopolies of Big Tech and Big Finance, or shutdown the empire's 750 global military bases that drain over a trillion dollars each year.

You can feel it now, without sweeping structural reform, collapse isn't a possibility, it's an inevitability. The system thrives on dysfunction, and unless people rise to confront it, the future will be carved out by inequality, stagnation, perpetual wars, and eventual economic and political ruin.
