Hamas Was Never the Real Obstacle To Peace

โ€œIsraelโ€™s occupation is not a conflict between two equal sides; it is the subjugation of one people by another. The refusal to recognize this truth is the moral failing of our time.โ€ - Ilan Pappรฉ

โ€œThe denial of Palestinian nationhood is not a policy failure โ€” it is the policy itself.โ€ - Edward Said

โ€œThe great crime of the powerful is not only the violence they commit, but the lies they tell to make that violence appear virtuous.โ€ - Chris Hedges

โ€œThose who control the narrative of violence also control the moral boundaries of the worldโ€™s empathy.โ€ - Dr. Jeffrey Sachs

In a radical reversal of the rationale behind the last two years of genocide placed upon the Palestinians, Dr. Jeffrey Sachs argues that Israel used the "incessant focus on Hamas" as a "convenient bumper sticker" to defend its genocidal military campaign in Gaza. He claims that Hamas would no longer be a significant barrier if a legitimate State of Palestine were established in conformity with international law. Sachs thinks that Hamas would no longer be a major player in the drama of a true two-state solution.

This point of view questions the fundamental tenets of the conflict's frequently presented narrative. By focusing on a symptom of the occupation rather than its underlying cause, the denial of Palestinian statehood, it implies that the international community has misguided its attention.

In other words, USA and Israel both will never allow a sovereign independent nation-state called Palestine. American government bipartisan and Israel will create another illogical reason to deny a new nation-state of Palestinian. And again, USA and Israel will continue to work together to slaughter Christians and Muslims of Palestinian heritage in a much smaller parcel of land in Gaza, including the West Bank.
