Why are $10 million apiece tanks losing ground against $15,000 Ai-driven killer Drones?

The decline of armoured dominance comes down to a fundamental mismatch between legacy (1930s - 2010) design and modern economic 3D printing and Ai-guided technology.

Tanks were engineered for a 1940's era, carrying heavy composite armour along their front and sides to take direct hits, while leaving their top turret roofs and engine bays covered by thin plating. A cheap attack drone carrying an explosive charge easily bypasses those heavy side plates by diving straight down onto the engine deck, turning the tank's own fuel and ammunition into a self contained death trap. To make matters worse, the electronic warfare systems that once jammed these drones are losing their edge to Ai autonomous guidance.

Once a drone pilot locks a target onto an optical sensor chip, the drone executes its final strike autonomously, rendering signal jammers useless. Tanks can no longer rely on speed, smoke, or surprise blitzkrieg to move undetected either, because continuous thermal and acoustic surveillance makes a 60-ton tank practically impossible to hide. Beyond the front lines, tanks depend on a massive tail of fuel tankers, recovery vehicles, and troop transport trucks that can easily be picked off by drone swarms, whereas a drone squadron team can work out of the back of a civilian van, launching strikes and relocating in minutes with virtually no footprint.

Put yourself in a tank crew position: would you feel confident sitting inside a $10 million tank while a swarm of 100 Ai-guided killer drones closes in overhead? Hell NO!
