We encourage others to find a local Earth raper and make them pay for the damages they are inflicting on our communities... Furriers, meat packers, bosses, developers, rich industry leaders are all Earth rapers . We must inflict economic sabotage on all Earth rapers. ~ Craig Rosebraugh
Official motto of the White House economic team: Those who can, do. Those who can't, fantasize in the classroom, fail in Washington and then return to the Ivy Tower to train the next generation of egghead economic saboteurs. Life is good for left-wing academics. Everyone else pays dearly. ~ Michelle Malkin
Consider the Nord Stream pipeline to be the number one vein in Europe's body through which it dispenses the very important gas from Russia's massive gas fields to Germany, among others. Its significance goes wide and far out, touching on energy security, political influence, and economic stability.
Pre-Ukrainian war, Russia was Europe's gas giant, providing the continent with 40% of its natural gas. A single pipeline, Nord Stream 1, transmitted 55 billion cubic meters of gas into Germany each year! And, another pipeline, Nord Stream 2, was ready to double this capacity, 100s of billions of American dollars into the Russian economy. It was gas upon which the powerhouse of Europe, Germany, relies for its industrious heartbeat.
This gave Russia substantial leverage, considering that the availability of gas was clearly in Moscow's hands, and the governments were pulled and tugged in different ways by that fact in European politics. So, when the war began in Ukraine in 2022, Europe tried to cut down on its dependence on Russian gas. But the sudden sabotage destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines accelerated that shift, making Europe dependent on the U.S.A. liquefied gas.
Nord Stream also economically sidestepped Ukraine, which was an economic mistake.
Previously, the majority of Russia's gas crossed Ukraine, bringing in billions of dollars in transit fees to Ukraine. With Nord Stream, this enabled Russia to sideline Ukraine and weaken its economy.
But then, in 2022, it wasn't just a political explosion that had taken place, it had become the largest recorded methane leak to have taken place to fuel climate change. Now Europe had to be warmed by more expensive supplies of liquefied natural gas from... guess who?... the U.S.A., something to drive up prices for all of Europe.
This economic sabotage of Nord Stream was a game-changer.
The turning point in the energy war between Russia and the U.S.A., Europe now had to accelerate its exit from Russian gas, giving the U.S. a stronger energy economic foothold into the European energy market. One must ask the simple questions about sabotage and secret operations in global energy politics which is worth 100s of billions of American dollars per year.
