An Economic integrated USA & Canada

If the Schengen system (of border-free travel) is destroyed, Europe will be seriously endangered politically and economically. That is why we Europeans have to invest billions in Turkey, Libya, Jordan and other countries in the region as quickly as possible everybody as much as they can. ~ Wolfgang Schauble

"The only technology that helps to create a plethora of business and employment opportunity while promoting the green environment, is serving good for the society and, therefore, the sustainability." ~ Anuj

"What is the recipe for successful achievement? Choose a career you love. Give it the best there is in you. Seize your opportunities. And be a member of the team." ~ Benjamin Franklin

"When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us." ~ Alexander Graham Bell

Just thinking outside the box approach to further Canada-U.S. economic integration with sovereignty intact could involve...

Develop bi-national apprenticeships for skilled trades in demand, with labour mobility across energy, construction, and technology streams.

Develop regional economic corridors (Great Lakes, Coastal areas, the Prairies) with shared investment rules, tax incentives, and infrastructure initiatives that benefit an increase in employment opportunities and wealth creation in both countries.

Employment and unemployment is tied closely to both countries, either country will help out in reskilling or re-education or employment opportunities.

Initiate bi-national business incubators pairing Canadian and U.S. entrepreneurs with access to capital, mentorship, and markets in both countries.

Establish a bilateral infrastructure investment banking system to put border transport, water systems, construction and digital connectivity upgrades at the top of the agenda, helping both countries for the betterment of its citizens.

Have a North American Labour Passport to help Canadian and American workers to work in the other nation, similar but more flexible to the European Union's Schengen employment model because our languages, norms, and cultures are similar.

Have in place, seasonal worker exchange, where industries have periodic demand (agriculture, tourism, education, manufacturing, professions, construction, etc.) can transfer workers freely across the border, with the ultimate goal of higher employment and opportunities for workers in both countries.

Companies that hire Canadians or Americans contribute to the social programs of the worker's country of origin, ensuring mutual benefits to both nations.

Maintain mutual recognition of social security, so retirees can claim benefits easily if they have worked in both countries. And if they want, they can retire in either country, or retire in both countries, total mobility because they earned it.

Establish bi-national community policing, emergency response teams, and integrated military divisions or branches in border cities to facilitate coordination to discourage all types of crimes like drug trafficking and gun running.

Develop cross-border Indigenous governance institutions and incentives to develop entrepreneurship mobility between both countries, respecting sovereignty but enabling Indigenous nations to move more freely across artificial borders.
