The Shock Of American Worldwide Tariffs

Capitalism, racism and inhuman technocracy quietly develop in their own way. The causes of misery are no longer to be found in the inner attitudes of men, but have long been institutionalized. ~ Jรผrgen Moltmann

Technocracy wants to do everything by machinery. Machinery is doing just fine. If it can't kill you, it will put you out of work. ~ Will Rogers

The human mind, in taking us down the path of technocracy, has become the adversary of life itself and collaterally the adversary of the human soul. ~ Konrad Lorenz

If the technocratic class often invokes technology, it is because these inanimate objects can take on a trajectory of their own and so cover for the manager's inability to give leadership. ~ John Ralston Saul

The oligarch technocracy Trump-era American government and Congress are putting all their eggs in one basket, betting on the use of blanket tariffs on practically every country, including an island that only has penguins as inhabitants, to create a tax reserve/revenue, and phase out corporate taxation in hopes to return new factories and manufacturing jobs to America. Meanwhile, there are over 400,000 unfilled vacant manufacturing jobs in America for the past four years.

Historically, no country has been successful by using blanket tariffs against multiple nations, such tariffs always fail.

Tariffs eventually cause other countries to strike back in equal measure with tariffs, reducing the efficiency of commerce, and injuring domestic consumers because they pay the higher price of goods including the tariff.

Temporary use in times of war or essential industries might work, but across-the-board tariffs turn back on themselves and economically harm domestic and foreign economies.

Most economies use targeted tariffs for anti-dumping tariffs or multilateral trade agreements or over quota agreements, instead of blanket protectionism.
