"Pets are humanizing. They remind us we have an obligation and responsibility to preserve and nurture and care for all life." - James Cromwell
It's amazing how a pet can become a member of the family so fast. Tux was just four weeks old when we first adopted her from the humane society; she was tiny, delicate, and entirely reliant on us.
It is another story of how we as a family discovered her and how we eventually manipulated the situation to adopt her.
We showed her the tremendous love, care, and attention that we would have given any child from the start, treating her as though she were our own.
A relationship of close family was formed with each feeding, each restless night, and each moment spent ensuring her safety and comfort.
She gradually developed into her name, personality, serving as a reminder of the happiness that results from freely giving love. We have learned patience, accountability, and the silent, long-lasting joy that comes from watching a life flourish under our care thanks to Tux.
Now that you know our family love. Our family love is extremely tight and historical.
To harm our family pet Tux is to harm our family unit, full stop. You are done.
